Take advantage of the area's hiking and biking trails, golf courses, and a wide variety of scenic, historical and cultural attractions.

Hatch Lake offers anglers great structure for some of the best walleye fishing, smallmouth bass fishing, largemouth bass fishing and northern fishing in Minnesota. There are also plentiful sunfish, bluegill and crappie to be caught right off the docks. Hunters will love the abundance of bear, deer, waterfowl and grouse found here.

The resort is located 38 miles NW of Grand Rapids, near the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway, State Hwy. 38. The Scenic Byway takes you thru some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state as it winds from Grand Rapids up past the resort and ending in Effie - a 47 mile drive. Fall Color enthusiasts argue that the best time to travel the Scenic Byway is in mid-to-late September, when the fall colors are at their peak. They may be right - the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway was recently named one of the Best Fall Color Drives in America.
