Maple Ridge Resort is located 38 miles Northwest of Grand Rapids. If you want the scenic drive, travel the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway (State Hwy. 38), north out of Grand Rapids to Marcell, then turn left onto County Road 286 west for 5 miles and turn right onto County Road 252. Follow 252 for 3 miles and veer to the left onto County Road 43 (Turtle Lake Road). Go 1.5 miles and you'll see the resort on your right.

If you prefer a more direct route, take US Highway 2 West from Grand Rapids to Deer River, then turn right on State Highway 6 and go north 25 miles to County Road 43 (Turtle Lake Road). Go 1.5 miles and you'll see the resort on your left.

Travel Tip

If you are driving from the Twin Cities, Hwy 169 will take you all the way up. This is a nice scenic drive that winds around Mille Lacs Lake.

You can also drive up Interstate 35 headed north toward Duluth. Then turn off at the Cloquet exit onto Hwy. 33. Take 33 to US Hwy. 2 West to Grand Rapids.
